When Dawn’s blood temporarily opened the portal, a few things escaped. When her blood stopped poring, they found themselves trapped in our world. Two of the most dangerous beings to escape were a brother and sister. Both hell gods, the brother is the essence of fire, and the sister the essence of ice. They are both extremely powerful and highly dangerous. Due to their influence Sunnydale has been feeling an extreme change in temperature from heat waves to blizzards.
Buffy has only been alive for a few days. The scoobies are trying to adjust, and Giles has moved back to Sunnydale. Anya and Xander are set to get married in a few months. Willow and Tara are happy but starting to fight about Willow abusing magic. Dawn and Spike are just happy to have Buffy back. Cordelia has just received a vision of the brother and sister. Since Angel believes the slayer to be dead he has no choice but to take it upon himself to move everyone to Sunnydale to protect the hellmouth, and save the world.
